RAW Presents: STELLAR

October 28, 2019

A one night spectacular showcase featuring over 60 local San Diego artists specializing in many disciplines, such as film, visual art, dance, fashion, crafts, and MORE! Come to the House of Blues in San Diego on Monday October 28th, at 6 PM - 11 PM! The Costume Contest encourages guests and artists to dress up and have a chance to win $100. 

Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego Extended School Partnership Program (ESP) 2019

As part of the Extended School Partnership program student showcase, Jocelyn and her artist friends collaborated on a concept art book titled Clownthology, which showcases concept art, character biographies, extra content, and props from their Dungeons & Dragons characters. They were inspired by the recent animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse (2018) and other media to create the concept art book as a response to the mythology theme Chula Vista art students chose for the partnership with the MCASD.

SUHSD Student Art Exhibition 2019

Winner of the "Teacher's Choice" Award, representing Chula Vista High School. Mrs. Spielman, Jocelyn's art teacher for 4 years, selected this watercolor piece as her choice as part of one of the award categories. 

Youth Art Month 2019

March 03, 2019

Jocelyn Jimenez's illustration of what panic feels as an artist was chosen to be in the Youth Art Month exhibition 2019. She and other art students from CVHS were chosen to have their artwork featured alongside students from school districts in San Diego County.

CCSS San Diego "Tearing Down Walls" 2018

Groff Exhibit 2017

Illustration of original character , Christopher Time, was a finalist in the Groff Exhibition 2017 in San Diego City College from May 30 to June 20. Artwork was made with watercolor, gold ink, alcohol markers, and gel pen.

San Diego Museum of Art's Young Art: Beyond the Ordinary 2017 is the 44th art exhibit where San Diego's Pre-k through 12th grade demonstrate their artistic abilities through a still-life inspired by Henry Matisse, Juan Sanchez Cotan, & Georges Braque.

Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego Extended School Partnership Program (ESP) 2017

"LA MAREA" was featured in San Diego's Museum of Contemporary Art ESP educational program last January alongside other Chula Vista High School art students and San Diego High Schools following the theme of stories. For better quality picture and artist statement, click here.

"Swamp Tree" is an acrylic painting of a swamp, submitted as an assignment for my eight grade teacher Ms. Stewart and entered into the SUHSD Art Exhibition 2015 as a finalist. Amazingly, it was awarded Superintendent's Choice, Principle's Choice, & the Emeritus Choice Award!

Del Mar Fair 2014-2016

(2014) My first entry to a juried art show by submitting a tempera painting of a bear catching a fish while on the edge of a waterfall. The artwork was awarded Best in Class! (picture soon)

(2015) An acrylic painting of a swamp landscape, "Swamp Tree" was awarded Best in Class!

(2016) Third consecutive entry to the Del Mar Fair Art Showcase, but in the Digital Art category for a digital portrait of a deceased family bulldog, "Tikki." The artwork was awarded Best in Class!
